This monograph is devoted to the study of life, military and political activity of famous leader of national movement of the Kurds of Iraq of 40 – 70s of the XXth century Mulla Mustafa Barzani. He headed the struggle for autonomy of the Kurds of Iraq up to 1975 and never was false to his principals. He dreamed about prosperity of Kurdistan, widening of its territory and proclaiming Kirkuk its capital. Being a tribal by origin and religious Mulla Mustafa Barazni was quite educated and modern leader. He enjoyed a respect as a general and fighter for the liberation of the Kurdish people, and had a great reputation not only among the ethnic Kurds, but also abroad.
