Irina N. Serenko's monography “Education System in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan” deals with the deep rooted relationship between community, education and religion. It is pointed out that in such a predominantly Muslim state as Pakistan (Muslims comprise 97%) there is a close relationship between education and ideology of Islam. In fact the educational system in Pakistan during all periods of its development was determined not only by socio-economic, political and cultural factors, but by the religion as well. The monograph attempts to highlight the main stages of the Pakistan educational system formation and development in the context оf religion influence on these processes.
