The collection of articles is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of N.K. Roerich, the 145th anniversary of the birth of E.I. Roerich and the 120th anniversary of the birth of S.N. Roerich. Both Nikolai Konstantinovich (1874–1947), and Elena Ivanovna (1879–1955), and their sons –Yuri (1902–1960) and Svyatoslav (1904–1993) made a significant contribution to Russian and world culture and science, and in particular, in Russian Indology.
The collection of articles contains materials dedicated to the scientifi c heritage of N.K. Roerich, the problems of studying the results of the Central Asian expedition N.K. Roerich, as well as dedicated to the oldest scientifi c institutions in the study of the Roerich Heritage: the Cabinet of Yu.N. Roerich in the Institute of Oriental Studies RAS, the memorial Cabinet of N.K. Roerich in the State Museum of the East, as well as the Roerich Readings held in the Institute of Oriental Studies RAS. The collection also contains work dedicated to some images of India in the history of Russian culture.
In the marks of the 120th anniversary of S.N. Roerich in the collection of articles presents the memoirs of indologists T.L. Shaumyan and E.S. Yurlova about meetings with the artist and his wife Devika Rani. The collection is concluded by the publication of the letter to E.I. and N.K. Roerich of the Russian emigrant in India V.M. Lyboshchinskaya.
