The monograph is devoted to the vital problem of the dialogue of cultures. This book is the first research in Russian science showing penetration and the very existence of Russian classic inside Afghanistan cultural space. Monograph is structured according to chronological principle and covers a period from 1930s, when the first information about Russian classics appeared in Afghan press, to present day. The author considers Russian classic in Afghan native literature background in both major state languages: Pashto, Dari. There is a four Russian classics Pushkin, Tolstoy, Chekhov and Gorkiy personality and works perception by Afghan intellectuals described in this book. The author claims the Russian classic assimilation by Afghan writers to induce an Afghan literature entering into the world literary process.
