The book is a translation from Russian into Turkish of the monograph published in Moscow in 2013. It is focused on the lives of thousands of Russians who rejected the changes in the homeland of 1917, defected to Turkey and settled for different lengths of time in Istanbul, its vicinities and Anatolia. The historical facts are described along with the individual life stories. The enormous human catastrophe is revealed in the context of events that took place in Turkey in the 1920s. The book is based on the unique, previously unknown archival documents, memoirs, and on the researches of Russian and Turkish authors. The work is meant for a wide range of readers.
