The collective monograph is devoted to food and resource security in Asia and Africa. The growing global systemic crisis threatens the food and resource security of millions of people around the world, and especially in developing countries in Asia and Africa. In the regions where social problems have been accumulating over the past decades, the crisis has become most acute. Against the background of increasing inequality and geopolitical instability, the global food crisis is growing, and forward-looking estimates do not give a visible timeline for its end. The book examines the food situation in all the leading countries of Asia and Africa. Against the background of Western defamation against Russia for the growing food crisis, the objective and subjective causes are shown. The resource-intensive and resource-saving models of economic growth are described, and the extent to which the economic recovery in developing countries and their emerging convergence to developed countries are based on a resource-intensive or resource-saving model is analyzed. It has been established that in order to maintain the pace of economic and social development, Asian and African countries will have to make adjustments to economic growth strategies – pay more attention to promoting innovation, developing intellectual resources, improving the quality of socio-political institutions and effective governance.
