The materials included in the book were collected by Academician I.A. Orbeli in 1911-1912 in the mountainous region of Moxa (Turkey). Among them are fables, fairy tales, proverbs, sayings, songs of Moxa Armenians, information about the way of life, traditions and language of the Armenian and Kurdish population of Mox at the beginning of the 20th century.
