The work is devoted to the Saudi National Festival of Heritage and Culture, which is held annually in Al-Janadria, becoming an important event of scientific, cultural and sport life not only for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), but also for the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf. Interest to the Festival grows constantly in the region and throughout the Arab world. During the reign of King Faisal bin Abdulaziz annual spring camel racing in Al-Janadria have become very popular in the Kingdom and neighboring emirates. In the 80s, it was decided on the basis of popular sport competitions in Al-Janadria to organize the National Festival of Heritage and Culture, as well as to build, near the sport complex, the exhibition pavilions of 15th Emirates (provinces) of the Kingdom. In each of the pavilions it was planned to create research centers for study of traditional crafts and hand-made goods from of all Arabia, and for revealing connections of modernity wish the past and future. In 2014 more than 300 thinkers and intellectuals from the Kingdom and foreign countries took part in the Festival. They made presentations, delivered lectures, participated in a debate in the various sections of scientific conferences, symposia, in public talks and poetry evenings.
