The work is devoted to the research of a joint Syrian-Russian archaeological expedition in the water area of the Syrian Arab Republic in the area of Tartous and the islands of Arwad. In December 2019 the first season of underwater archaeological research was held. The aim of the work was the search, discovery and examination of underwater archaeological objects.
