Islamic revolution is a new type of revolution which co-opted the experience of previous revolutionary movements, elaborated its own ideology, strategy and tactics of the struggle for new world order. Social and political ideas of Islamic revolution, as well as experience of their realization in practice, remain attractive for protest movements in many countries including Iran itself.
