Saarbrücken (Germany) , 2012, 344 p.

Islamic revolution is a new type of revolution which co-opted the experience of previous revolutionary movements, elaborated its own ideology, strategy and tactics of the struggle for new world order. This revolution had a powerful impact on the whole world. But first of all it influenced Muslim community part of which live in some regions of Russia. Ideological inspirers and organizers of the revolution, laity and clergy very often understood its aims and objectives in different ways. After the death of imam Khomeini Islamic revolution in Iran, as he saw it, came to an end. New leaders of the country continued strategic course of development which had been started by the last monarch. This policy does not suppose military conflicts with strong enemy, and much less with the USA and Israel. The nation’s leadership disposes itself for using any support for transformation of Iran in a powerful state aspiring to extend the sphere of its influence in the world. The slogans of Islamic revolution have important function in solution of this task. Social and political ideas of Islamic revolution, as well as experience of their realization in practice, remain attractive for protest movements in many countries including Iran itself.
The book is meant for a wide readership.
