This collection of articles is based on the materials of Scholarly conference dedicated to the memory of the outstanding Russian scientist M.N. Pogrebova. Scientists from the leading scientific centres of Russia, Ukraine, Abkhazia, Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan participated in this conference. The collection of articles begins with and article by L.A. Chvyr about M.N. Pogrebova (anthropology of academic life). The book also contains a list of M.N. Pogrebova’s publications, compiled by S.V. Kullanda, and the articles on the theme of conference. Each article is supplied with brief annotation in Russian and English. The book is richly illustrated. It includes many drawings, photos of archaeological finds, black-and-white and colour maps.
