The second volume of the publication series of the Russian Archaeological Mission at Giza (Egypt) contains the results of the archaeological research of the Old Kingdom Minor Cemetery, located directly to the East of the rock-cut tomb of Khafraankh (G 7948), on the eastern edge of the Eastern Field of Giza Necropolis. In the course of the excavations burial shafts, mud brick mastabas with numerous annexes and burials of various types, simple graves, retaining wall, protecting the Eastern Necropolis of Giza from a collapse were discovered. The monograph consists of the publication of the excavated burials of the necropolis and the analytical part. It includes the analysis of topography, architecture and archaeological context of the Minor Cemetery, the study of ceramic material and finds, discussion problems of dating and the allocation of the construction stages, presents the results of an anthropological expertise and data on ancient Egyptian burial customs of the III millennium B.C.
